DOORDARSHAN INSTALLS LARGE IKEGAMI MONITOR WALL AT ITS CENTRAL PRODUCTION CENTRE IN NEW DELHI
Ikegami is pleased to announce the completion of a large video display wall for the Indian public-service broadcaster Doordarshan. Located at the network’s newly upgraded Central Production Centre in Khelgaon, New Delhi, the display wall incorporates 46 Ikegami monitors and is one of the biggest of its kind in the world. The monitors integrated into the display wall include Ikegami HLM-2450WB 24-inch and HLM-1705WR 17-inch models. Doordarshan also purchased Ikegami HLM-905WR 9-inch HDTV/SDTV multi-format LCD color monitors as part of this technical upgrade.
The display wall was supplied, installed, fully tested and commissioned by Delhi-based broadcast technology specialist HCL Infosystems together with a transmission playout system. Dordarshan’s Central Production Centre is used mainly to produce programmes for DD Urdu, DD Kisan and DD Sports channels.
Ikegami HLM-2450WB monitor incorporates a 24-inch wide LED-backlit LCD panel and achieves thin size, light weight and low power consumption. Standard features include a multi-format SDI input plus DVI-D and VBS inputs. The HLM-2450WB has wide viewing angle, high brightness, high contrast, quick motion response and high quality color reproduction. With its WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution, the monitor achieves real pixel allocation without resizing. Superb gradation characteristics make the HLM-2450WB ideal for critical applications such as video post-production.
The Ikegami HLM-1705WR is a 17-inch HDTV/SDTV multi-format LED-backlit LCD monitor designed for use in broadcast control rooms, editing rooms, presentation studios, transmission control suites and outside broadcast vehicles. The HLM-1705WR has a 1920 x 1080 display resolution and is equipped with two SDI signal inputs (compatible with both HD/SD 4:2:2) plus an analogue composite signal input. The monitor also has an internal generator producing color bars and grayscale test patterns.
Compact in size and light in weight, Ikegami’s HLM-905WR 9-inch HDTV/SDTV multi-format LCD color monitor incorporates 3G/HDTV/SDTV multi-format SDI and VBS inputs as standard. It employs a WXGA (1280 x 768) panel incorporating the latest IPS technology with LED backlight and wide viewing angle.
