Two Wheels Motor Racing (TWMR), promotor of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (https://asiaroadracing.com/), televised the excitement of the event's Round 3 Japan contest from Mobility Resort Motegi in June 2026 with Ikegami’s UNICAM XE Series cameras. Coverage of the race was transmitted to an estimated 40 million broadcast television viewers across Asia region. 

TWMR captured the action from 12 locations around the course using Ikegami UHK-X600 and HDK-X500 cameras supplied by Ikegami Electronics. TWMR first deployed this camera system for Round 1 of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) held in Malaysia in April, delivering high-quality video of the event.

The road course at Mobility Resort Motegi (https://www.mr-motegi.jp) is a technical circuit with a total length of 4.8 km. The 12 Ikegami cameras were positioned at key corners and straights to capture signature visuals unique to the location. This included slow-motion coverage of motorcycles accelerating from the circuit's V-shaped corner onto the straight. This was shot at high frame rates, followed by footage of motorbikes speeding downhill.

Designed to deliver full broadcast quality even in conditions of high temperature and high humidity, Ikegami UHK-X600 cameras incorporate three 2/3-inch 4K-UHD CMOS sensors and provide 1000 TVL resolution, minimal aliasing, plus 2000 lux sensitivity at f10 (60p). The UHK-X600 camera is built to withstand intensive outdoor and studio operation and can be pedestal or tripod mounted or operated over the shoulder. Global shutter imagers minimize artifacts when televising LED screen walls or flash/strobe illuminated stage environments. When combined with the Ikegami BSX-100 base, the camera optionally supports simultaneous output in UHD and HD video formats.

The HDK-X500 is an HD-native camera using three 1920 x 1080 CMOS sensors. Its feature set is similar to the UHK-X600. Both cameras incorporate Ikegami's latest-generation AXII digital processor which includes automatic optical vignetting correction throughout the range of OVC-compatible B4 bayonet mount zoom lenses, plus remote back focus adjustment.
