Nine Media Corporation, which operates CNN Philippines, has made a major decision to upgrade its existing Ikegami cameras.
The leading news channel in the Philippines is investing in Ikegami’s HDK-99 to set a higher standard of delivering high quality news productions.
The HDK-99 is an upgrade by leaps and bounds compared to the previous HDK-79EXIII.
The camera system utilizes three 2.6 megapixel high-performance CMOS image sensors capable of capturing full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution.Along with a wide dynamic range of more than 600% (HDR), the HDK-99 captures images with its horizontal resolution of 1000TVL, SNR of 62dB or more, and high sensitivity of F11 (59.94Hz) that produces exceptional color and brilliance in its video qualities.
The 16-Axis Color Correction feature is something that is second to none.
This function allows camera operators to adjust extra fine color ranges which offer as the most advance function for color adjustment to date.Along with the upgrade, the BS-98 base station is included in the camera system chain that also offers an option for a hot-swappable board for 4K quad-link and HD simultaneous output.
CNN Philippines believes with this in place, they remain in the forefront of the HD news production industry and be future proof when it is time to migrate to 4K in the near future.
CNN Philippines has valued Ikegami for producing high quality and stable broadcast camera products that have accompanied them to deliver high quality news content for the past many years.
With the new cameras in place, stronger relationship between both companies have bonded and greater quality news content in the Philippines horizon awaits from CNN Philippines.
